The KRDA Steering Group has been established to oversee the development of a decision aid for Patients in England with Arthritis of the Knee considering Knee Replacement (KR). The Group will develop and approve materials to be published, and arrange for the clinical validation of materials to ensure that they reflect current clinical practice. for routine use within the NHS. This measure, together with a risk prediction tool, will help predict the outcome for the individual patient from knee surgery based upon available research and be used to develop shared decision-making tools. The measure will also be used as an initial benchmark for routine, patient centred surgical outcome measurement.
